THIS!!!! this statement convinced me to let the wall break. to let the demons in. what is wrong with this? if we can save the Makaian people and also hope to reach an equilibrium where humans and demons can co-inhabit a world, isn't this good?
I noticed this even in [attack on titan], this sort of issue seems like an [Archetype] in many shows in some way or the other?

This show couldn't have released at a better time. Devil May Cry show is here and I'm watching a day before my birthday? hello? I'm so excited right now.
I was so excited, I had to fire up obsidian and start writing my initial thoughts in the first five minutes of the first episode.
They have kind of introduced us to the bad guy, that rabbit person.
First pc game I can remember watching my brother play is Devil May Cry 3. I just have this special love for the series. I've played DMC3, DMC4 and DMC5.
I'm yet to play DMC1 and DMC reboot and I'll play DMC2 someday despite it's bad reviews just for the sake of it.
The cool brothers and Dante's attitude is what draws me to the game and I absolutely love Dante.
I can now feel what league legend fans must have felt when they watched arcane. Although what i've heard is that game very different from the show, in DMC show it's not the case.
Till now, I've had introduction to one of the devils from the game series I can't what it's name was but it those skull shaped black devils.
And I've heard Dante say "Jackpot!"
DMC 3 Dante is back it seems.
I absolutely am fucking excited to visit the Vatican City!!!!!!!!

Things I like so far:
Animation is so good. It's not arcane in anyway but this animations feels rich. It feels polished and it's just beautiful to look at.

I love the fact that instead of just saying demon power destruction because it is demon power, they at least tried to explain it the demon power using quantum physics.
This quantum physics-like explanation for the amulets to open the gate to the demon world was not in the video games.
First episode was packed with so many story beats, and the pilot episode is just right. It works and it hits all the beats for a good pilot episode for me.
Swords of all the characters in this frame of the intro is just one of the nods to the series.

Okay, after noticing dante's hair, it kind of is a bummer that we didn't get that DMC 3 hairstyle.
episode 3
this show feels like what DMC reboot was supposed to be. Dante's story set in modern era.
DMC3 is literally a medieval era, now, we have governments creating "Demon Hunter" Teams, President wanting to use Dante as a weapon.
Lady is head of the Demon Hunting team instead of randomly coming across Dante while hunting demons. This one change is something I can understand.
I mean most of this stuff seems out my own imagination back then when i used to play a lot of DMC3.

Watching this show felt different. Like, I am in the culture for the first time. I've always heard recommendations from other people, got interested in what felt like "other" fandoms. But this is the first time I've felt this nostalgiac love for the characters. A happiness not about how good the show holds up, but for it's own sake. It feels like this show was made for me. To give me exactly what I wanted.
